You probably think that to charge a person who breaks into a bank with theft without knowing what they stole is stupid.

If they didn't steal anything it is. You can charge them for breaking and entering (into a bank no less!), but if there is nothing missing, they shouldn't be charged with theft. That's a no-brainer, silly!

You probably think that the Constitution is stupid.

Is this a new topic of discussion, or are you practicing the aimless rant technique?

Would you vote for Benedict Arnold?

Of course not - first off, he's dead! Actually, depending on what the vote was for, I might. He'd probably win the "Traitor of the Century Vote."

I don't care is they discussed tidley winks or hang nails. The fact that a US military officer was meeting four times in Paris with the enemy without the approval of his government is all we need to know under the law we have now. He violated the US military code of conduct. He committed treasonous acts. He is a piece of work.

As I said, if he met with the VC in Paris in 1970, that by itself does not constitute treason in my mind, even though it may violate the letter of the definition. The US government agrees with me because they didn't prosecute him. Who agrees with you (other than Steve?). So there you have it, the US government and I against you and Steve. I think I win that one!

He lied under oath to the US Senate about falsified charges of un-American, un-professional un-military conduct.

Again, there was no formal accusation or prosecution for this, so the US government and I don't think it was a crime. You and Steve do. Me and the US government win again!

It appears the reason he received the less than honorable discharge that he has taken great pains to try to hide is because of his treasonous acts.

Appears to you and Steve. US government and I disagree. And.....I'm on the wining side again!

You can live you life under a liberal rock, but those who are willing to examine the facts would never say they are both patriotic and willing to vote for Kerry.

So ~48% of the US population is unpatriotic, or you are incorrect. I vote you being incorrect. You lose again!

Anyway, Kerry is old, old news, move on!
