"If we all had a nickle for every time this subject has come up, and the same old same old posts have been tossed around, we'd all have quite a pile of change.

I find it odd as well that the only objections come up when it is in the context of discussions about homosexuality ... not surprising coming from you but odd that the objections are so pervasive.

Of course people who are sexually abused are more likely to sexually abuse others than non-abuse persons. Your objections do nothing to discount that. The topic is homosexuality.

"Gay behavior, of course, can be engaged in by anyone, and as we see in jail, lots of heterosexual men engage in it to satisfy their needs, even though their fantasies remain primarily heterosexual. While sexual behavior is a choice- sexual orientation looks like it probably isn't a choice- and how cruel to force homosexuals to act out as heterosexuals (or vice versa) just because society has silly fixations on whom adults should be allowed to love, and act out that love with."

Indeed, some of the boundaries of homosexual/heterosexual behavior are fairly vague. In Latino culture, for example, heterosexual men have sex with men and still consider themselves straight, unless they ONLY have sex with men.

I have two male dogs, who seem to be in a long-term loving relationship with each other. Of course, we fool with dogs' sexuality by neutering them, and I bet they would be heterosexual if all of their equipment was intact.

Of course, all consensual sexual behavior is a choice, I would agree. I do think it is important to point out that this is not the same as saying that homosexuality is a lifestyle choice. I hear this argument all the time, amazingly.
