I have a lot of problems with the proposal, not the least of which is the colossal negative repercussions of using a retaliatory nuke on "harboring" countries where the proof of complicity would be difficult indeed to establish.

What if a mistake is made?

We've been alerted by now to the deficiencies in our intelligence gathering. I surely think it would be unwise for us to rely for proof that country XYZ helped in making a nuclear attack on us on the same bunch that gave us Iraqi WMD intelligence.

But which holy site in Israel will be nuked first by Bush?

And, will we start locking up all Muslims in North America next? Shades of the 1930's.
