I see that Jewel has been banned. I've been dropping by very intermittently the last couple of days so have missed any larger background. But I notice that his last post, the "eeek, strike two" one, was to me. I have to say, if that post was indeed the trigger, that I think there's been a misunderstanding of some sort. As I understood that post, Jewel was saying in a perfectly friendly way that his prediction about who would like Hugh Grant had, by my negative vote, been proven wrong twice. Maybe that post had nothing to do with the banning. But in case it did: As far as I know, Jewel and I have never posted rudely to each other, and that post isn't an exception. I hope you'll unban him, if that post had anything to do with the ban.

Next time I see Robson Green scheduled to appear on TV (he's usually in BBC productions, so is on PBS) I'll post it. This note was part of my earlier request that you reconsider the ban on Jewel, but I am posting it separately so as not to give the impression that it's so very casual a matter to me. Jewel is a RWer, and is passionate about certain things, and occasionally gets cranky, but he's also intelligent and thoughtful, and I think you'd come over time to appreciate his contributions.
