Look, the creation and funding of Hizbullah by Iran can hardly be dismissed as some extraneous action when discussing the relations of Iran and Israel. Iran's funding of Hizbullah and Palestinian terrorists (remember the Karine A?) is a main issue with Israel, not some kind of a side issue that can be ignored. Israel and Hizbullah have almost come to open war several times, and probably will come to open war at some point, probably when Syria decides the time is convenient.

What you are saying is, let's ignore all the ways in which Iran has threatened Israel rhetorically as deserving annihilation, and let's ignore all the ways in which Iran has funded and is funding attacks on Israel, let's just stop and concentrate on how Iran might legitimately feel threatened by some of Israel's responses to the Iranian threats and attacks?

That's not how it works. If Iran would shut up about Israel deserving annihilation and stop funding terrorist attacks against Israel, then Iran would feel the same amount of threat from Israel as Turkey does, which is to say, no threat at all.
