pray tell? there's been precious little improvement in the trade balance or current account for the fall so far. What tells you the buck should be more attractive going forward?

At some pt the consumer quits bellying up to the consumption bar, then there will be little advantage to the Japanese to contain the rise of the yen -- we may already be there for all I know.

I have been holding a stash of euro and Swiss Franc travelers checks, which I consider advance payment for meals and hotels. Bought both too soon and too late, but at least I have them.
