All it takes is one bubble head or politician on TV saying the words Iraq and terrorist in the same sentence on TV and common sense, logic, and the facts fly out the window for most Americans. If anybody brings up the Iraq war, I always tell them the terrorists were Saudis, but they just give me a puzzled look like I just stepped off a UFO and continue on in their make-believe world.

I have come to the conclusion that people really don't want the truth. All they want is a good story about good vs. evil with them on the good side so they can pump up their feelings of self-righteousness and superiority. They want the whole thing wrapped up in a neat little ball with no loose ends. They surround themselves with people who support their feel-good view of the world and ignore the rest. Its a fricken mass delusion and I have no idea when or what it is going to take to burst it...
