Bush continues to back Plan Colombia antidrug work By August Cole
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- President Bush said Monday that he will continue to support Plan Colombia, the U.S. program to support the Colombian government's antidrug operations. Drug traffickers are a threat to both countries, Bush said, speaking in Cartagena, Colombia alongside Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. "Defeating them is vital to the safety of our peoples and the stability of the hemisphere," he said.

I recall the dreaded Afghan winter which was going to doom our attack against bin Ladin. And I remember the predictions that we were going to slaughter millions of Afghan civilians. That Baghdad would be a new Battle of Stalingrad. That Afghan elections would be a failure.

Why should anyone believe the predictions of doom regularly cranked out by leftwingers?
