I don't think it's fair to say the wingers on both side are the same. Where are the lefty Limbaughs and Hannitys? The leftie Oliver North? Imo, the problem with the lefties is that they aren't more like the wingnuts. The wingnuts managed to derail two of Clinton's nominees for AG over the freaking nanny tax. Bush nominates a guy who called the Geneva Convention "quaint," and he'll slide right through. If someone throws a rock and you, you've got to throw a bigger rock back at him, otherwise there is no effective opposition and everything turns to sh**, as we are currently seeing.
