I am a free trader. If you stipulate "fair market price", I am content that the Marines remain in barracks. However, I think that we have an interest in protecting the integrity of markets when strategically sensitive commodities are involved. I told you, I don't care about Iraqi oil, I care about the stability of regional oil production. I think we have to preserve access to trade routes, in general, through diplomatic means backed by military might, but only when the routes are strategically important.
