Stopped in at Pat's winery myself once. Sorry to say, though, that the only wine I thought worth buying was his "Refrigerator White" and that was more for the funny text on the label than the wine itself. Had a Cab that tasted like someone had shoveled fireplace ashes into the barrels. And that was either an '85 or '86 vintage - both incredible years for the Sonoma/Napa region. I think the winery went BK a few years later. BTW, I think he ran again in '72 and maybe '76, too.
