Deer respond to the amount of habitat available to them. When habitat increases, deer increase. When deer populations rise, predator (Coyotes, bear, and the like) populations are soon to follow. Hunters are predators, and function much more humanely than wild predators.

Right now, deer populations are higher than ever.

It's fine if you want to address the real problem, which is unfettered human population growth.

I'm sorry, but deer birth control is simply an absurd idea.
