They must be strong enough to survive the 100 mi journey. If some of them do have the bird flu, does this mean that the eventual spread to humans may not necessarily mean disaster?

BTW - 100 per day seems like a small number if you know how crowded SE asia is. Singapore seems well prepared so they would be the canary in the coal mine as to stopping the spread of human transmission if that ever happens.
