I knew 2 that died but not well. I knew very well several more that were in that camp and the next camp down the road. It's a little hard to digest at this point.

The statement of them not respecting private property has been an issue for some time around here. I have a friend who was ejected from his own land at gun point by a group of Hmong hunters from Eau Claire. The sheriff took it from there but this is not an isolated incident at all. I'm actually quite fearful of this going forward because there will be many more instances of Hmong's trespassing and I'm concerned how folks are going to deal with it going forward. I can only hope they let authorities deal with it rather then trying to deal with it personally. I never thought I would end up in the wild west in northern WI that is for damn sure.

And in edit another friend of mine was hunting with his 12 year old on their first hunt together in the adjoining tract. Helicopters flew over telling all hunters to leave the woods and to return to their cabins and stay indoors. After they found out why they came home for the week. He asked his son yesterday if they should go back up Thanksgiving and the kid said no he was all done deer hunting. Sad.
