Oral,

I hope they did a blood alcohol test on this guy. Its been my experience that most hunting related accidents involve a little too much hunting under the influence.

I gave up hunting a few years back after getting shot at by a party of drunk hunters. They didn't stop shooting until I fired back in their direction (but elevated above them).

Yes I was wearing my orange vest and hat.

Alcohol & rage probably explains this one better than racial issues (given the perps record of domestic violence).

John

There have been conflicts between groups of immigrants from Southeast Asia engaged in hunting mushrooms and other wild products from national forest land.

Apparently they have brought some territoriality from their native land with them.

It is sad that some groups are failing to adopt American values when they come here to live. Because we can use good people from whatever the source.

this is not an isolated incident at all

OR....the whole situation is so sad. Usually the Hmong are rather gentle people, or at least, so far, they are here in the Seattle area.

Do you know if this man spoke English? Has he or the Hmong community had any cultural courses on the Americans or our History?

I've argued for a long time with those who don't see the value of teaching and learning American History. Perhaps if we had taught these new people of the laws of our land, and the reasons for them, this situation wouldn't have happened.

Do you know how many of the Hmong community have actually become citizens of the US?
