R.D. Buschman,
Your posts are really depressing. I wish you'd stop
the personal attacks.

It's obvious that people here, including me, perceive things
totally different than you, but how are we to discuss our
viewpoint when all you do is focus on wedge issues?

Gay marriage, abortion... we'll never agree. OK? Never.

Maybe when men walk the planet with total respect
for a womans body... we'll ban abortion... OK? But, that's
not the world we live in. For the women and men of this
country that support a right to choose, (the current law), all I can
say is, you are not going to change their mind. And even though
you seem to think that you can "legislate" a change of heart,
I'll tell you, you can't. For me to think that woman should not
have the power to govern their own bodies would require my
heart to change. Such a change comes from my creator, not
a law. I obviously have different beliefs than you, and I'm not
living by yours, and I'm not going away.

Men always talk about stopping abortion, but you never see
them fighting to get the ten's of thousands of rape kits (the
evidence taken after a rape) processed that sit on a shelf
unprocessed, due to lack of funds. That could stop thousands
of abortions, and give women justice, by getting known sexual
offenders off the streets. Why don't you spearhead that project?
If you stop thinking in such black and white terms and you may
actually find ways to end thousands of abortions without oppressing
womans rights.

Do you care about any issues democrat's here care about? Like
voter fraud, do any of the problems surfacing with our voter system
bother you? If so, you may be able to have a discussion with others
here that care about that... or did you never really intend to find any
common ground with people here and you're just here to pick fights
over wedge issues?

wuli

What I wrote was: "But it does matter. It matters for individual liberty, constitutional rights and marital law. And if it is not a choice, it shouldn't matter to any of those.". So it matters to admit that it is NOT a choice and that they should have the rights that every other American has, including marriage and the tax benefits that go along with that.
