I think the written word is important, especially here where it becomes our voice as it were. I hesitate to stir your thread up any more than it already has been but the demonstration of mob thinking that occurred here is an excellent lesson on the mechanics of SI and group interaction. I pointed out that at least eight people used their cyber voices to come in here and claim that someone was a murderer. The initial shock and scope of the tragedy is devastating but all due process disappeared in our world, in an instant. More importantly the argumentative and descriptive function of the language was replaced by mobthought, mobthought is dangerous and destructive. I can find a post wherein a member of that mob stated explicitly that he saw on TV the police had already said the groups single weapon had not been fired, such is mobthought, it replaces reason and vision and comes in colour. It may well be that he is a murderer as claimed, but he isn't until he is convicted, and I have no stake in the outcome, I do have a stake in this community.I am still roasting the cow. Anyone who won't acknowledge the changing face of man/animal relationships is being deliberately blind . Canadians can't eat cod any longer because they are all gone, the Japanese want to kill every large fish on the planet and serve it up as sushi, whales included. In Africa poachers are shot dead, they don't get to argue that the elephants are useless compared to another starving child. The Game Wardens are likely financed by terrorists and Democrats since they miss the whole "human life is always more precious than animal life" thing that the mob insists is so important. The mob is gathering up in a group in a single place which is good. <g> The mob could be banned if you truly consider them irredeemable, oh I see you have been doing that. The saddle should be saved because the next time I see a sacred cow I think am going to shoot at the rider.
