Mq, Gold lower today in CAD than on 1/1/04. Euro shows similar data. Until POG delinks from USD, no gold rally for most nations. There have only been a couple of days this year when dollar rose and gold rose. We need several of those, in a row, for a trend. Then, global investors may awake from their paper money slumber. Data sources: engelhard.com for gold price and www.oanda.com for USD/CAD exchange rate. Please see below date, exchange rate, date, USD gold and CAD gold from beginning of 04 to present. Gold in CAD is lower than at the start of the year by about 3%. China's demand (no matter how much energy conservation measures implemented) complemented by the frothy don't care attitude in US and western societies, they will keep demand very high and higher. This is not factoring the demand that may come from India and southeast Asia.
