You think selling USD denominated shares and repatriating to home currency will have no spinoff effect to local Exchanges? What, all the money goes to commodity stocks? I think not.

If a foreign investor sells USD equity positions they will seek to replace those with equity positions in other currencies. My point is that in some countries it seems the stock market is not enjoying those new investments and that is a barometer.

I know what you are invested in (commodities) and that is beside the point.
