If sunnis do an al sadr and decide to cooperate in elections, who knows???

The major sunni parties, which were calling for a boycott of the elections three weeks ago, are now calling for a delay in the elections. When that won't fly (what Sistani wants, Sistani gets, and he wants no delay), they will take part in the elections, protesting loudly. Better to be on the caboose than left behind in the station, 'cause this train is pulling out.

Let's hope Allawi can peel away some of the Sunni nationalists and tribal leaders. I should think the success of Fallujah has made his work easier. I particularly note the dog that did not bark in the night: not even Al Jazeerah has managed to scare up "MASSACRE IN FALLUJAH" headlines, and within the Iraq the majority reaction has been silence.
