What do you think of the proposition an al sadr type solution might serve as a model for non-foreign, non zarquawi sunnis who may now be lured back into the game? Once al sader acquiesed, things go real quiet in the contested shiaa areas. We always assumed that zarquawi was playing the nationalists but perhaps it will end up being the other way around, particularly if there is some compromised delay in the elections that satisfy both sunnis and kurds and are accepted by sistani. I think that since all parties true interest is a stable and unified iraq, even the syrians and the iranians may be ok with that. mike
