Well, any thoughts I may have had to upgrade my membership are now gone. No way I will pay for something I always had for free.

All you could do before is click individually on their posts via their profile, and be taken to their first post (unread by you) via your PeopleMarks page. I can assure you that you were never able to "next" through a specific user's posts unless all of their posts were on a single thread. Never. That is a new feature.
