I jotted out this quickie email. Should be interesting to see this one develop. :)

Dear Millennium,

I read the attached article today in the Sun Times and found it difficult to believe a company would fire an employee for exercising his political free speech rights. Especially, someone who served in Vietnam and risked his life to defend America.

First, is it true? Because, I often notice media outlets sometimes get the facts wrong. However, if it is true you've got a publish relations nightmare on your hands, and I would recommend publishing an immediate apology on your website, with the promise to re-hire Mr. Gardner and offer to back-pay him any lost wages he has incurred.

In addition, whoever the knucklehead was to fire someone for exercising his free speech rights while exposing your company to this kind of negative publicity should be fired.

I hope you have the foresight to do the right thing quickly. The rapid spreading of information via the internet could seriously damage your corporate interests.

Sincerely, Mike Cummings
