Sorry Tonto... I was posting about the trade deficit (let along the decline in capital inflow).

The phrase 'manufacturing exports' came from YOUR post... which I was merely responding to:

"Huh? Manufacturing exports are up..."

IT DOESN'T DO MUCH GOOD TO COUNT ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE LEDGER SHEET --- EXPORTS HAVE GROWN WITH THE ECONOMY, OF COURSE, BUT THE TRADE DEFICT IS NEAR ALL-TIME HIGHS.
