No, you don't, because the actual starting population of the West Bank and Gaza together at the starting point, 1948, was about 500,000, not the 3 million it is today. Gaza has over 1 million today; you are assuming it had 1 million back then. The true number was closer to 100,000, which would put today's population between 1 and 2 million, which is about where it is.
