** OT * I've heard Brisbane isn't much to write home about. On a river and everything.

I've only been to the airport (really nice) and that was at night to pick someone up. We flew into Maroochydore (the airport reminds me a lot of the one we have here in Victoria), which is a short hop to Noosa.

Ah... Noosa. Oozes smug self satisfaction, but there's no denying the beaches and wildlife preserves are simply world class.

So were the prices, LOL. I'd sure go back, though.

I lived in Toowoomba for about 6 months a few years ago.
Cairns is great for a holiday but right about now it is stinking hot and humid. I know the country very very well. Try Tully if you love rain.
