LOL! I used to be that way....wish I still was. When I was in HS, a house on the street behind our house caught on fire, and burned to the ground. I heard the noise, reached over, lifted one of the blinds...saw the sky was orange, and people shouting....and promptly went back to sleep.

There is still a vacant lot there today, nearly 45 years later. Has grass and plants, but no house.

Can't imagine doing that today. The sirens alone would be enough to keep me up the rest of the night.

Until I wake up 8 hours later a bomb could go off and I wouldn't know it.

For me it's the opposite. Sometimes it seems like I wake up when a bird pharts in the next county.

I found out that I've gotta have some background noise playing. I can't sleep without it. The dr. asked me what my sleep habits were like before all the problem popped up. We had a hectic household. Where ever we were, there was some kinda sound. In the city, we had the street noises, out on the bayou, we had the bayou sounds. There was always something in the back ground. I bought a sound machine, tried out the various noises and found one I could sleep with.
