Are you really "Ann Corrigan" or are you really "Ann Coulter"? Do you walk around with "liberal" and "conservative" stickers in your pockets to identify and label everything? Have you not noticed that the suicide bombing incidents in Israeli have diminished drastically since the US ousted Hussein? I don't suppose Arafat's incapacity preceding his death had anything to do with that? After all, Israelis claimed Arafat was behind the terror attacks all along. The turning point against suicide bombers, IMHO, took place about a year ago when a Palestinian youth, 14 I believe, was caught at a checkpoint with a bomb vest and was filmed, in tears, as he was instructed to disrobe to his underwear as he discarded the bomb vest. That film, broadcast to the Palestinian world, linking shame with the bombings, changed the dynamics of suicide bombing for the Palestinians. Besides, we needed a listening post in the Mid-east.... We had several. Kuwait is right down the road... Quatar and Bahrain nearby. Their stuck-in-the-17thC governments were in need of a push towards democracy. Perhaps we should have started with Saudi Arabia rather than secular Iraq. The Saudi radical religious schools and Saudi clerics, supported by the Saudi government, are known instigators of terrorist thought. Osama is a Saudi, as well as were 17 of the 19 9/11 hijackers. Saudi money disguised as "charity" turns up whenever terror financing is investigated. Liberals would have declared the American colonists war of independence bogus LOL! Conservatives (if I might dabble in the label bit) WERE England.
