Spots,

Yes, they both had a quality that men and women could relate to.

I don't know if I could pick a favorite Bogie movie. There are just too many. "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" is a personal favorite maybe. Sidenote: Huston said that was probably his favorite film, as men could watch it in 200 years and it would still be as relevant as the day he made it. Check out Huston's bio, "An Open Book", for lots of great Bogie and Peter O'Toole stories.

Jimmy Stewart is alive and well in a guy named Tom Hanks. Same guy, different era. All of those you listed are great.
