I don't think that the Democrats will nominate two northern liberals in 2008.

If Barack Obama is smart, and he is smart, he will not be in a hurry to run on a national ticket. He is only 43. A more realistic time table for him might be to run for reelection in 2010 and then make a run for the presidency in 2012. That assumes, of course, that he does well in the Senate. He had a very liberal record in Illinois as a state senator. It will be interesting to see if he moves more to the center.

While I was watching the election returns last month, a sense of serenity enveloped me as I realized that Hillary Clinton is probably unelectable at a national level. Her negatives are cast in stone and she is out of synch with the middle. Just imagine the GOP turnout if Hillary is on the ticket.

Quite frankly, I don't have a clue as to who the Democrats will nominate. Hillary has to be the favorite. Kerry will probably explore the possibility of a second run and find out that no one is interested. Dean's time has come and gone. Edwards did not light up the firmament and he is going to have a hard time staying in the spotlight. Assuming he is elected governor of New York, Spitzer won't run until 2012. I would mark down Corzine as a dark horse. Shave the beard and team him up with Richardson.

Dumbya praises Pakistani dictator

After Musharraf purged his country's Supreme Court and rewrite its constitution, Dumbya called Musharraf a "courageous leader" and added that Musharraf can help create a Palestine state "that is truly free. One that's got an independent judiciary; one that's got a civil society; one that's got the capacity to fight off the terrorists; one that allows for dissent; one in which people can vote. And President Musharraf can play a big role in helping achieve that objective."

If this weren't so serious, it would be laughable. Pakistan has supplied WMDs to North Korea and is believed to have links with Iran. And Dumbya goes around praising its dictator. Meanwhile, we invade a country that doesn't even have a decent slingshot to fight us with and get bogged down in the resulting mess for the next several years.

Great work, Dumbya! And great thinking, Dumbya's dimwitted fans!
