I was and remain a firm opponent of this war, and admit that American troops have made mistakes during the fog of war, but I object to your characterization of them as brutal savages who kill "unarmed women and children, indiscriminately".

It is entirely possible that some American soldiers did indeed shoot indiscriminately at vehicles that failed to stop. While some were just plain trigger-happy soldiers recruited from the dregs of American society, others apparently suspected that every car was a potential carbomb and so they opened fire from a relatively safe distance soon enough before the car could slow down to stop. It was also possible that the vehicles that did not stop contained passengers hell-bent on a collective suicide as a ticket to their Paradise. These folks apparently chose to die and/or join their beloved ones that had passed on before them rather than to suffer in a war-torn Iraq.

Remember that war brings out the best and also the worst in people!
