That is another thing that Americans don't preceive correctly, but I'm sure foreigners, like yourself, looking from the outside inward at America can see clearly. The U.S. is currently the most agressive military force on the planet, and has been since the collapse of the Soviet Union. It goes along with the U.S.'s empire building since WW2. You don't build and maintain an empire by sitting at home doing nothing. You have to go out and let the world know who is in charge. I mean, what other country in the world has been so agressive at attacking other countries (Panama, Serbia, Iraq, Afghanastan) and stationing troops in other countries (over 100)? The U.S. by far is the leader on that front. But, most Americans don't preceive it that way at all. They preceive their country as a benevolent force in the world, when really the U.S. is a warlike imperialistic power just like any in modern history. The U.S. warmongers (neocons) love this stuff, Westerner vs. Middle Easterner, Christain vs. Muslim, it's the cold war all over again.
