The police state will start using this to punish dissent. And if you're arrested as an "enemy combatant" if you resist then you have no rights under the constitution because of the Patriot Act and will be held without due process. Defacto political prisoner. And no one will even know where you are. You just disappear because the government under Patriot Act does not even have to acknowledge they have you.
