We were on a 4 lane road, bumper to bumper doing 45 in a 75 zone. The horse was in the median and spooked right into our car. The bumper broke all 4 legs and the hood folded and gutted the horse. The head went through the windshield leaving a hole for the guts to go through. We got covered. A woman came running up telling the state trooper who had been in a roadside diner that we had been speeding and swerved to hit the horse. 3 drivers had stopped and told the truth so the bitch wasn't listened to. The 14 year old girl who owned the horse showed up and was sobbing. The horse was still alive and I asked the trooper to shoot it. He couldn't without filing paper work. Horse died, I now carry a gun and the car was totaled.
