Not many people understand this.

For example, China limits reproduction and the net result is that this limitation actually saves MORE lives than it kills. For example, if you look at India (which doesn't restrict popluation control) they have way, way more than two million lives killed due to poverty and floods. Population control would avoid way, way more than two million deaths per year. Further, if you look at China's financial situation, they are two times better than India in part because of this population control. No matter how you look at it, unlimited population growth spells more deaths. But not many people have the level of foresight to see this --- it's much easier to look at the immediate tangible deaths while ignoring the less tangible future deaths. But when you compare India to China it becomes more tangible for others to see.
