Twfowler, re: Soldiers complain in every war.

Yes, and the black Southern people complained about racism, raped women complain about being raped, abused wives whine about getting beat up, and molested children complain a lot too.

What's your point? Or are you really so vapid that you're saying that soldiers in war never have a valid basis for complaining? Are you trivializing the complaints of men and women who are dying, getting their limbs blown off and getting paralyzed because they're riding in inferior equipment when it's within our means to provide better equipment? Surely you cannot be that obtuse?

If you'd ever served at the mouth of the beast in a war, you'd understand how many instances there are when you're asked to do things that you know those asking you would not do themselves. Asking our troops to take less than the best armor, when better armor could be made available with a higher priority, is one such example.

The election is over. Why anyone would attempt to ridicule the justified complaints of the troops whose lives are on the line and take the side of a bureaucrat like Rumsfeld who says "people get killed in armored vehicles too," is inconceivable to me. Ed
