Oh, I forgot, he is a Democrat, so whatever he did wasn't news on the liberally biased FMSM.

I have never seen where McDermott broke the law. It could be that it was not reported by the FMSM as you suggest, or more likely, I simply did not read the story. Why is every thing a conspiracy theory with you guys?

Violation of the privacy act. He accepted a tape of Newt's cell phone conversation which he knew was not made by a participant. He then distributed the illegally taped conference call to the media. (If you care about civil liberties, you should be offended by this.)

Okay. He did break the law as determined by a second judge [the first judge ruled he did not.....so presumably this is of those gray areas of the law]. What about Gingrich? You claimed he "lost" his speakership over "discussing strategy" on a cell phone. In fact, that's not the story at all.....once again you've spun it in your head to fit your perspective.

Gingrich used campaign funds to fund a college course he was teaching. Two years after the cell phone call made the news, he chose to resign. He did not lose his job over the matter, he quit. However, he did receive a fine from the Ethics Committee. And there was no question that Gingrich was guilty of a crime as with McDermott.

If I were to choose which is the more serious crime, I would choose the misuse of campaign funds. And the Justice Dept and the Ethics Committed agree. Why aren't you upset with Gingrich's criminal behavior?

But, more likely, you will spin this as something else. What tangent you will use to disregard Democrat illegal activities will have to be a surprise to me.

There is nothing to spin. Really! The serious crime committed here was the one by Gingrich, and not McDermott. What's scary is that you can't see it. And that's the problem why I can't handle what the right is doing to this country. Their attitude is much like your's.......when its their own, they look the other way and only attack when its the opposition who is in error.
