Or as the Founder's put it, our freedoms come from God. You can view god in that context as a legal fiction, I as a literal truth. Either way, we both put government in it's proper perspective, the American perspective. The ACLU and its ideological partners in the courts disagree. The State and its citizens are in one box, and god and the religious nuts are in another. If there is a wall from the center of the Earth to (pardon the expression) heaven between god and the state, how can god give ANYTHING to a citizen? I consider this 25 year crusade to separate god and government nothing less than a revolution, overturning the basic theory of our state.
