Looks like Clint Eastwood's new movie is really good:

Hopefully it will be playing here this weekend.

You know what was extremely strange when Mr. Grainne and I saw Sideways? A couple had brought their three stair-step children. It looked like they were about five, seven and nine years old. I have NO idea why parents do that. It really ruined the movie for me because instead of just laughing at really adult scenes that were also quite funny, I identified with those poor children and worried about them.

I almost got in to a physical fight with a family that had brought preschoolers to Godfather III--I felt really threatened that the father was going to follow us out to the parking lot and hurt us--so I don't say anything to the parents anymore. I understand why parents should have some discretion in bringing middle aged children and young teenagers to some R-rated movies--I brought Grainnette to a few R-rated movies when I had done the research and determined the R was only for language (Mr. Grainne has a colorful vocabulary, so she had heard those words once or twice). But I think that there should be firmer rules for movies that have very raunchy adult sex scenes or would be terrifying to small children.
