Al,

What are you talking about? School taxes..ok.

This is one area where the left is winning big, I have to admit. They have successfully hijacked the concept of public education, into spending for some disfunctional building end its employees (who in turn spew leftist ideology, and give part of the education budget to Dem party).

the left 1
children 0

(the left has found someone they can beat)

Republicans have a long way to change it into thinking in terms of children and what is best for them, and that the money raised through taxes are for the benefit of the children, not some kind of idiotic "system".

If someone choses to take their kids out of the school system

Yeah, take the kids out of the system.

and handle their education in whatever other manner, there may be savings. The savings go to whom from your POV?

If the taxes are for the kids and not the "system", then the money will follow the kids. Sicne the kids don't disappear, there are no savings.

Joe

What are you talking about? School taxes..ok. The money I pay in school taxes, to support children who go to school, of which I have NONE.

The purpose of these taxes is not to have children go to a specific building. The purpose of the taxes is to have the children get educated. If the child is educated somewhere else than a particular public school the public aim of educating the child is still achieved.
