Generalizing from your "experience" with Teamsters to all unions is like me saying all employers are thugs Actually I was compelled to join the Teamsters once in order to get a job I wanted. I don't like being compelled to pay anyone in order to get work. This is what is called a shake down. Oh for sure, they aren't all thugs, but they do reduce economic efficiency. When you've been visited by a couple of wise guys who claim to be union reps, threatening you and your family it tends to color your opinion of unions in general. It's too bad since I was raised in a family that was pro-union.
