Hope there is no analog brewing here at home. Every Californian I know is feeling dissed and resents that our 14% of the country's population (and larger portion of the GDP) is disenfranchised. We better watch ourselves here lest we have the same thing happen to us. Note in the following link that the Blue states will represent more people in the future than the Red and the change is going radpidly in the Blue state direction. To hold power Red states are going to have to install governments that are more and more oligarchic and plutocratic. npg.org
