There is not a left wing establishment that is in power. So, there is not much that is 'bashable' on the left. I did not bash kerry or bush during the campaign. However, I noticed that my lack of willingness to bash bush (other than calling him a 'howdy doody texan'), garnered me a reputation as a Bushie. There is a lack of vision on the left that folks can get behind; which leaves only reactionary compulsions toward the right.

The right wing has a foundation of principle that is being implemented and operationalized in all its machinations. Things springing from sound principles of liberty and justice will bring about good in the fullness of time. There is also a huge component of r-wingers who have no conscience about anything as long as it represents more movement toward conservatism. At this extreme, conservatism is oppressive and corrupt. r-wingers do not seem to appreciate that this extremism is where shifts to l-wing change and renewal will take seed.
