Al, Go back to what you wrote Tench...why did you use the FDR expression? I interpreted it to mean that the bad things you referenced cannot happen? Those bad things can happen, but I see much more sensationalism on the part of the media than I do actual danger. That goes both ways, whether it be the fear of terrorism or the fear of a police state. We're paralyzing ourselves with these fears. You might focus on the fear of terrorism and how that's being exploited by the right-wingers in charge, but I see left-wingers exploiting the fear of a police state all the time, so they're no better. At least one of those fears is grounded in a history-changing event. The other fear has been the same song over and over again by media sensationalists. Tenchusatsu
