Hi Jay,

Re: Destiny will not ne denied, and Fate can not be circumvented. What will be must be. So, let's simply enjoy the drama.

The essence of your advice here seems to be somewhat Confucian, somewhat Buddhist, somewhat fatalistic. Perfectly reasonable responses to a world which seems to be beyond the control of the individual to have an influence over.

This basically passive view of the world is not one that is shared by those who have attempted great conquests or great transformations of the world.

This can be explained, perhaps, as the differing philosophies of Genghis Khan versus Siddhartha Gautama or perhaps Edison vs. Freud.

There are men of action and there are men of acute, astute observation.

My inclination is toward the former, though I clearly do not mean to put myself into such exalted company as an equal.

Simply stated, merely observing life has never been satisfactory to me.

So, if it pleases you, go about enjoying the descent into the madness of unnecessary war as a spectator of the absurd. And I will continue to do all I can to influence the lethargic herd of humanity toward a more enlightened course of human events.

All the best, Ray :)
