I was living with my dad (the dead one, only he wasn't dead in the dream, this is NOT a ghost/zombie dream) in this Japanese style house (very nice, btw, all redwood, and tatami mat floors, and it had one of those great upright soaking tubs- the kind you can stand up in) and I was limping around with some injury to my leg. Had to use a wheelchair to get around. Anyway, a bunch of friends showed up to remind me I was supposed to teach, only we had very little time to get to my class. So, we get me dressed, and we start off to school- only there is this huge bridge to cross, and for some reason I thought it would be faster to scoot across it in my wheelchair than to stay with them in the car. This bridge was like something for the City of Lost Children- Labyrinthian, and I kept meeting people (all very nice, and helpful, but I could TELL I was going to be late- everything took way too long- there were all these doors, and gates and such.) Finally I get off the bridge and leave my wheelchair and hop to a taxi, because I think THIS will get me there for sure. The taxi guy did not speak English, but was very sweet and helpful, and got me there as fast as possible- but too late. My class had come and gone, without me- and I've no idea what I was teaching, or WHY I was teaching at UC Berkeley (which didn't look like UC berkeley at all). And then I woke up, and woke my husband up, and told him this was an AWFUL dream and why did I have to remember this one so well, when I am sure I have really nice dreams most nights that I never remember at all.
