"it will NOT be good news for Biotechs, because the public doesn't like lethal lab escapees."

Does 'escapees' refer to the scientists or the bugs themselves? Wouldn't it have been more accurate to say "The public might not like lethal escapes? Afterall, how many lethal escapees have there been so far?

Hey, just kidding.

I've noticed that the public gets bent out of shape about a lot of things that escape into the environment. Three Mile Island comes to mind. Killer Bees is another. Automobile emissions is another. All of these topics had their hayday once and have mostly faded away from the public angst.

This too will fade.

I don't know what you're talking about. My reference wasn't to contamination but to your ability to link biological reality to molecular sleuthing, to your judgement and alarmist's love for the spotlight. I have not visited your latest website, don't plan on doing such, and don't understand why you might think that I had or would.

>> and it will NOT be good news for Biotechs <<

A pretty pathetic attempt to make your stuff relevant to this thread, I'll sell everything tomorrow morning and short Amgen.
