As a rule of thumb, I would say this: Anyone, especially a Republican elected official knocking Rummy has a personal AGENDA. Rummy is streamlining and making our military including procurement process more effecient. If they are against that its cause the are for feather bedding and other BS that benefit a few and cost us ALL a lot. jdn

I wonder if the piling onto Rumsfeld by certain Republicans might also have to do with the expectation that Rumsfeld is probably outward-bound from the Bush administration not long after the January elections in Irag. If the impression is that Rummy's leaving anyway, then maybe some these Republicans are just indulging in the opportunity to have been "among the first" (as they'll later boast) to effectively apply pressure for his resignation.
