I forgot one of the thoughtful gifts Dan bought me. I am having a lot of trouble opening wine bottles (boy, I am sounding like a cripple) and he bought this intimidating thing with a suction stand that you just put the bottle on and clamp and push down and it sends the corkscrew right in and out. We opened several bottles just to test it, so we will have to drink a lot this week. For some reason your mention of durian reminded me of this --perhaps because it reminded me of the hottub full of durian liqueur that Lather went snorkeling in at XXXXX. We certainly did have bizarre minds back then. Never had to bother with opening bottles, or even with glasses. You just dove in.
