It was a Good Trip...
About 14 of us climbed Mt Hale 4054ft/1236m on New Years day.... for a round trip of 10 miles with a 2300 ft elevation gain... so it takes some extended climbing.

Weather was bearable at 28° but the winds were 30mph with serious gusts and blowing snow on the summit.... didn't stay for long.

Snow cover is light this year in New England... depth going up was about 2 ft, crusty but breakable... didn't need the crampons or snow shoes.

Winter climbing is one of my favorite activities after skiing.
Took some pictures with one of those throw-away digital cameras.. so maybe I'll learn how to post'm.
